Denise Carritt

Denise Carritt Qualified 1986

Articled at Lee & Pembertons and subsequently worked at Collyer-Bristow and Simmons & Simmons.

Denise originally established Carritt & Co in 1998. In 2001 she incorporated the practice within Lee & Pembertons before leaving to re-establish Carritt & Co as a separate entity at the beginning of 2003. Specialist areas include commercial and residential property, the sale and purchase of businesses and licensed premises and Landlord & Tenant matters, acting for both landlords and tenants in contentious and non-contentious issues. Denise endeavours to understand each client’s business to help maximise the benefit of the transaction in question for the client.

Margarethe Batteson

Qualified 1982.

Margarethe worked with Denise at Simmons & Simmons and was with that firm for 22 years overall. There she specialised in commercial property, landlor & tenant and insolvency matters. Her experience encompasses many large property investment transactions. Typically involving sums of £10m - £60m, these included industrial parks, shopping centres, office developments and healthcare portfolios.

Prior to Simmons & Simmons, Margarethe trained at Lawrence Graham.
